A statue of Tārā graced my wife's aunt's house in Kauai. Representing compassion and action, in Tibetan Buddhism, it was a beautiful reminder to treat the world as such.

We were on our way to the south shore of Kauai when we passed this lonesome fellow. He struck me as the Htrae version of war horse. I spent a few minutes with him and enjoyed the quiet.
